Line Dancing

Artesia / Roswell, New Mexico Line Dance Jamboree. We traveled to this place on a bus we chartered from Yselte Independent School Disctrict in El Paso, Texas. We had a large group and demonstrated a dance at the event. We started our trip at 4:45 am in the morning and arrived at 8:30 in Artesia. The event started at 9:00 am and ended at 2:00 pm. We had a vonderful time at this event. We enjoyed the trip on this new bus. We danced for almost 5 hours. On the way back to El Paso, we watched the videos of the  dances. We were back in El Paso before 7:00 pm. It was a trip we will never forget.
This is the group from El Paso. We were taking a break and took the moment to take this picture.
We attended the Texas Jamboree in Dallas, Texas. World famous choreographers were invited to the event. This was a three day event. Since it was far to drive, we flew here to enjoy the music and dances.
This group was from the East Side Senior Citizen Center on Fierro Street in El Paso, Texas. I taught here through the City of El Paso. Many senior citizens enjoyed the classes and learned new dances on a daily basis. We became very good  friends and attend parties outside the center.

This picture was taken in Dallas, Texas.  We are accompanied by world famous choreographer John Robinson. "Mr. Showcase". We have met him at several events here in Dallas, TX and in Tucson, AZ. He is a very friendly person and has a very good sense of humor. We also performed with him on a dance he taught us in only one hour. He is an insperation to the line dancing community.

New Mexico State Jamboree in Las Cruce, NM. At this event our group " The Roadrunner Line Dancers" and  "The El Paso Line Dance Association" demonstrated two dances to the New Mexico dancers. Here we are in Austin, TX. at another Texas Jamboree. After spending a few days here, with world know choreographers, we went to a very elegant Mexican Restaurtant. Here we are practicing the line dance called  "Go Grease Lightning. We flew to this lovely city and enjoyed every moment of our trip.

This picture was taken with my group from St. Pius X church. We have been dancing since February 2009. We get together three time per week in the morning hours. We enjoy all the classes and dances. They have learned many dance styles such as Cubias, Salsa, Cha Cha Cha, Country, and many others.
